New Field Office in Jacksonville

8-koi is pleased to announce the opening of a new field office in Jacksonville, Florida. The new Orange Park location at 534 Park Avenue is the company’s fourth brick-and-mortar office and will become home to a growing construction team already operating out of the Jacksonville area. Located just three miles away from NAS JAX, this field site will allow us to expand our capacity as a leading provider of building and construction services to Government agencies across the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS). It has been an exciting twelve years for 8-koi, and this recent expansion reflects our vision for growth and will better position us for future success as an EDWOSB contracting partner of choice.

Twelve Years | 8-koi’s Gr8est Hits

On August 8th, 8-koi will celebrate another whirlwind tour around the sun, marking twelve years since we put this show on the road. You all have played an integral part in our success. While we are sharing our chart-toppers here today, it really is all the work that goes on behind the scenes to make these golden moments possible.

Each and every one of you is a star in your own right and I encourage you to take a bow in the spotlight for all you’ve put out there on the 8-koi stage.

I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of this class act, and I just know our fan base will continue to grow as we continue to deliver excellence in all we do.

Thank you for backing me up,

Inga

8-koi’s Gr8est Hits

  1. Winning the first government contract in 2014 for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command at Fort Detrick. Joe Ogershok joined as Senior Medical Trainer and celebrated his 5-year work anniversary with 8-koi.
  2. Landing first million-dollar project in 2015 with NAVWAR (formerly SPAWAR). The CPFF IDIQ for up to $4M put 8-koi in the class of organizations that were DCAA-audited which is a big deal for government contracting.
  3. The first 8-koi construction contract was won in 2016 for modernizing exam rooms at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville. Not stopping there, Inga went all-in with a new 8-koi work truck and trailer to travel to job sites in 2018.
  4. Celebrating 8-koi’s 10th Anniversary at the Brevard Zoo in August 2018. About thirty people and a couple of giraffes joined Inga at the party in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge to revel in the hard-earned success of the past ten years.
  5. Being named as one of fifty “Florida Companies to Watch in 2018” by GrowFL. Inga and the team from Headquarters walked the red carpet in Tampa to celebrate 900% job growth and 369% revenue growth from 2014-2018.
  6. Acquiring Cape Design Engineering (CDE) in March 2019. After teaming for several years on 8(a) WOSB design-build projects, Inga’s offer to buy the firm was accepted and the 8-koi crew grew by twenty.
  7. In January 2020, Women in Defense Space Coast recognized 8-koi as STEM Innovator of the Year for construction work supporting NASA’s Robotic Mining Competition (RMC) arena at Kennedy Space Center. VIEW THE ARENA 360°
  8. Moving Headquarters to Merritt Island in 2020. Additional space was leased in Merritt Island to accommodate moving HQ Operations from Melbourne. 8-koi and CDE occupy just under 10,000 SF. The former 1,000 SF space in Melbourne continues to be utilized but is now far too small to accommodate our HQ staff. Branch offices are also located in Jacksonville, Florida and San Antonio, Texas. For the first time executive positions were filled by Dean Rosenquist, COO, Elizabeth Berry VP Healthcare, Victor Diaz, VP of Engineering, and Otto Herrera VP Construction.

8-koi Medical Supplies

8-koi Medical Supplies is proud to share that we made our first sale of KN95 masks in support our local healthcare providers and the COVID-19 Response. Our team delivered with gloved hands 500 individually-wrapped masks in these custom tote bags to a local Space Coast dentist. We are standing by in our own masks to put a personal touch on future orders for PPE and hygienic supplies.

COVID-19 Response

8-koi has fulfilled purchase orders for 577,600 3-ply masks for Indian Health Services in the Oklahoma City area as well as providing masks to West Palm Beach County, the Oklahoma National Guard and businesses supporting temporary hospitals in large cities.

Just as important, 8-koi has active healthcare personnel working hard to lend their expertise to the massive effort underway to care for all types patients at U.S. Military medical facilities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cheryl Sills, RN, CCM who continues to report to the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX and is personally notifying patients of their negative COVID-19 test results. This is an example of the ‘human touch’ we continue to offer to our customers – while wearing appropriate PPE, of course.

Send an email to newbusiness@8-koi.com for more information about how we can lend assistance to the COVID-19 response as a WOSB.
